Hike to the Segan­ti­ni hut

The hike has been can­cel­led due to the recent snowfall.

To mark the 125th anni­ver­sa­ry of Segantini’s pas­sing, we will visit the Segan­ti­ni Hut on the Schaf­berg Moun­tain, whe­re the gre­at pain­ter pas­sed away on Sep­tem­ber 28, 1899

Mee­ting point: Alp Lan­guard chair­lift val­ley sta­ti­on, Via Cru­sche­da 7504 Pont­resi­na, 9:00 a.m.

We will take the chair­lift to Alp Lan­guard (CHF 20.50) and from the­re we will set off on a scenic hike to the Segan­ti­ni hut. Once the­re, we will enjoy our lunch with a breath­ta­king view that inspi­red the pain­ting “Natu­re”, the cen­tral sec­tion of Segantini’s famous Alpi­ne tri­ptych. Segan­ti­ni was in the pro­cess of com­ple­ting this pain­ting when he pas­sed away.

After­wards, we hike back to Pontresina.
