Foundation

The Segan­ti­ni Muse­um is run by the Gio­van­ni Segan­ti­ni Foun­da­ti­on, which is under the super­vi­si­on of the Fede­ral Depart­ment of Home Affairs (FDHA). The Foun­da­ti­on Board com­pri­ses the fol­lo­wing members:

  • Fran­ce­s­ca Beni­ni, Lugano
  • Sil­via Degi­a­co­mi, St. Moritz
  • Peter Fan­co­ni, St. Moritz
  • Chris­ti­an J. Jen­ny, St. Moritz
  • Rolf Sachs, Rome
  • Felix Schlat­ter, St. Moritz
  • Beat Stut­zer, Luzern
  • Syl­vie Wuhr­mann, Lausanne

The Gio­van­ni Segan­ti­ni Foun­da­ti­on, which was foun­ded in 1993, pur­sues the fol­lo­wing objectives:

  • orga­ni­ze and run the Segan­ti­ni Muse­um, St. Moritz
  • take care of and expand the museum’s coll­ec­tion of works of art by Gio­van­ni Segantini
  • publi­ci­ze the works of Gio­van­ni Segan­ti­ni by means of exhi­bi­ti­ons, publi­ca­ti­ons, and events at both natio­nal and inter­na­tio­nal level
  • con­tri­bu­te to sci­en­ti­fic rese­arch rela­ting to Segantini’s oeu­vre in its role as a docu­men­ta­ti­on and rese­arch center
